Copy Cat is built on a fast, private clipboard engine that runs entirely on your Mac. On top of it sits a calm, card-based panel that finally lets you see your clipboard instead of guessing.
Copy. See. Paste.
One shortcut opens a panel of everything you've copied. It's visual, searchable, and one click from your cursor.
Copy
Copy anything: text, a link, an image, or a file. Copy Cat quietly captures it from the macOS pasteboard. No extra steps, no new habits.
See
Every clip becomes a visual card with the source app, a type badge, and a live preview, so you recognise it at a glance.
Paste
One global shortcut opens everything you've copied. Pick a card and it pastes straight into the app you were using.
A clipboard that works the way you think.
Everything you copy, captured as a card you can see, search, pin, and paste, all on your Mac.
Visual card strip
Every clipboard item becomes a card with the source-app icon, a TEXT, LINK, IMAGE or FILE badge, and a live preview. You can tell what you copied at a glance, so you never paste blind.
Link thumbnails
Link cards pull in the page's preview image and title automatically, then cache them to disk so they show up instantly the next time, with no network hit.
Pinboards
Make named, colour-coded boards. Drag cards onto a board and pin the ones you reach for every day so they stay up front.
Excluded apps
A searchable list of every installed app. Switch one off and its copies stay out of your history. Turn it back on any time, nothing is deleted.
Export
Save your full history and all your pinboards as a CSV archive or a formatted PDF. It's yours to keep, back up, or share.
Global hotkey
One shortcut opens the panel from anywhere. Click a card and it pastes straight into the app you were using.
Search everything
Start typing to search your whole clipboard and every pinboard at once. Find that snippet from last Tuesday in a keystroke.
100% local
Built on the native macOS pasteboard. No cloud, no account, no sync. Your clipboard never leaves your Mac.
Nothing leaves your Mac.
Most clipboard tools sync your most sensitive copies, like tokens, passwords, and private messages, to someone else's servers. Copy Cat doesn't. It's built on Apple's native pasteboard and stays entirely on your Mac.
No cloud, no sync
Your history lives in a local store on your Mac. There's no server to breach because there's no server at all.
No account
Download and go. We never ask for an email to use the app, and there's nothing to log into.
Sensitive items handled
Copy Cat recognises password-field copies and other sensitive data and keeps them out of your history.

Some common questions.
Everything you might want to know before you download Copy Cat.
How does the free trial work?
Download Copy Cat and use every feature free for 7 days. No card, no account. When the trial ends you can buy a licence to keep going, and your history stays right where it is.
What does “1 / 3 / unlimited devices” mean?
All three tiers are the same app with every feature. The only difference is how many Macs one licence can activate, so pick the count that matches your setup.
I get an “unidentified developer” warning on first open. Is that normal?
Yes. Copy Cat is signed but not notarised yet, so on the very first launch macOS shows a Gatekeeper warning. Right-click the app and choose Open to get past it. It’s a one-time step, and the app opens normally after that.
Does Copy Cat send my clipboard anywhere?
Never. It’s 100% on your Mac, built on the native macOS pasteboard with no cloud, no sync, and no account. Password fields and other sensitive items are kept out of your history automatically.
Which Macs are supported?
macOS Sonoma 14 or later, on Apple Silicon. Copy Cat needs Accessibility permission (granted on first run) so it can paste into other apps for you.
How do updates work?
Copy Cat checks for updates automatically and installs them in place, so there’s no need to re-download. Updates are free for the life of your licence.
Is Copy Cat a subscription?
No. It’s a one-time purchase, pay once and it’s yours, with free updates for the life of your licence. The 7-day free trial lets you try every feature before you buy, so purchases are final once your licence is issued.
